We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Risk Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products and services.
In this role, you will design and implement optimized fraud-blocking strategies for post-paywall transactions, improve our billing processes, and manage integrations with external providers.
Main Tasks:
- Develop and implement efficient fraud-blocking measures for post-paywall purchases in collaboration with external providers.
- Manage the integration of new fraud/chargeback data providers to ensure seamless functionality.
- Work with senior engineers to migrate business logic to separate services as needed and plan/implement other tech debt items.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal tooling and automation to boost developer and team productivity.
- Identify future opportunities for the Payments and Risk team as the online payments space evolves.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, particularly Ruby.
- Familiarity with database management systems and version control systems like Git.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Understanding of code testing principles and Unix-based operating systems.
