Overview

ISR Division Systems, LLC seeks an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer with expertise in PHP and MySQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming, database design, and software engineering principles. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our backend systems, including server-side logic, database integration, and API development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain server-side logic using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
  • Design, implement, and manage relational databases, primarily MySQL, including schema creation, data migration, and query optimization.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support application functionality.
  • Ensure data integrity and implement robust data validation, storage, and retrieval mechanisms.
  • Conduct regular database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and web services for application functionalities and third-party integrations.
  • Implement security measures for APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
  • Integrate backend logic with frontend components, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer with a focus on PHP and MySQL.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and PHP frameworks.
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git for code management and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
