Position Overview:

As a Procurement Analyst, you will serve as the main liaison for both clients and vendors, overseeing all customer-related inquiries concerning order management for products within a designated solutions category (e.g., HP, IBM, Sun, etc.). Your role is crucial in facilitating effective communication between internal teams and external partners, ensuring exceptional customer service and order precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management:

  • Streamline the order management process to achieve customer service targets.
  • Assess and input orders to guarantee timely dispatch while adhering to quality benchmarks.

Process Coordination:

  • Implement necessary modifications in procurement, backlog oversight, integration, engineering, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill customer and TD SYNNEX expectations.

Problem Solving:

  • Recognize and relay potential solutions for issues as they occur.
  • Oversee backlog, track order status, investigate complications, and make informed decisions within established protocols.
  • Escalate decisions regarding exceptions and critical matters when required.

Profit Margin Assurance:

  • Maintain profit margin integrity by adhering to exception protocols for sales management approvals when necessary.

Order Oversight:

  • Ensure accountability for the order throughout the invoicing process, aiding in the investigation and resolution of order discrepancies as needed.
  • Manage Customer-Owned Inventory (COI) Purchase Orders (POs) and verify accuracy in COI inventory documentation, if applicable.

Client Interaction:

  • Keep and refresh essential information for the client to guarantee transparency and precision.

Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a collaborative approach in a team setting and the capacity to engage with supplier and customer representatives primarily through phone and email.
  • Robust critical thinking and decision-making capabilities to comprehend and apply process guidelines effectively for issue resolution.
  • Operational expertise and proficiency in using order entry software and related applications.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain processes and the distribution sector.
  • Foundational knowledge of product offerings, pricing strategies, customer service, and sales tactics.
  • Aptitude for performing basic mathematical calculations and applying them in a business context.
  • Basic familiarity with product applications and requirements.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in sales, customer service, warehouse, or product support roles, or a combination of post-secondary education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
