Job Description

The Senior Import Specialist is responsible for providing support to our Argentina Customs & Trade (import/export) operations. This role will be responsible for coordinating operational activities, acting as the contact point person for the area/operations, managing urgent needs, projects, supporting duties, and other logistics-related payments. Additionally, this role is responsible for checking all invoices related to C&T and supporting the management of brokers and freight forwarders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate import and export shipments for research studies-CSO, commercial products & export, if applicable.
  2. Ensure AEO maintenance for ARG through responses and updates. Participate in internal and Authority audits.
  3. Monitor OEA progress and update stakeholders.
  4. Support the development and implementation of corporate policies, directives, procedures, and processes for OEA compliance.
  5. Daily contact with exports team-manufacturing sites (Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics Planner) to receive import documentation, review, and shipment approval, as well as alignments with Market Supply Operation in Argentina.
  6. Request MOH approval on the government web portal.
  7. Coordinate import of biological samples.
  8. Guide and coordinate active/passive container reverse logistics.
  9. Analyze and process payment of invoices/tickets from service providers.
  10. Monitor vendor contracts.
  11. Inform product delivery to the warehouse and promptly communicate in case of damage or discrepancy.
  12. Promote process improvements and interactions with local Logistics areas of different countries.
  13. Participate in monthly Latam metrics meetings and submit Argentina KPIs (inclusion in SharePoint).
  14. Serve as the focal point for commercial launches and participate in STM & cross-functional team meetings.
  15. In case applicable, manage resources workload, lead, and mentor the assigned team.
  16. Act as a backup for local & regional teams, when needed.
