Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Core IT Infrastructure and Security Team as an IT Datacenter Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating our global IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our colleagues worldwide.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- vSphere product deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Server / Storage / Datacenter deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Third-level support (handle issues and manage problems)
Your Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting changes and documentation on the infrastructure
- Preparing, installing, retiring, and managing servers
- Participating in VMware and IT Infrastructure-related projects
- Troubleshooting infrastructure alerts
- Supporting the integration of new technologies into the infrastructure
- Documenting your area and practices
- Reporting on relevant KPIs
- Complying with GxP & FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- University Master Degree or equivalent
- Experience as an IT Datacenter Engineer with 3-5 years of experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience working with VMware-related roles
- Experience working with virtual server environments
- Capability to understand and perform monitoring and handling issues identified through monitoring
- Experience in installing hardware and software on servers and ESXi hosts
- Proactive, analytical, and capable of taking responsibility
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of GxP environments preferred
