**Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement search engine algorithms and indexing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and user requirements.
- Develop and maintain search engine infrastructure for optimal performance.
- Implement and optimize relevance and ranking algorithms for search results.
- Stay updated on emerging search technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to search engine functionality.
- Analyze user behavior and search patterns to improve search engine performance.
- Provide technical support and training to development teams.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Search Engine Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and data structures.
- Familiarity with information retrieval concepts and techniques.
- Experience with search engine technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning in search.
- Familiarity with distributed computing and cloud-based search solutions.
- Knowledge of search relevance evaluation metrics.
- Understanding of semantic search and entity recognition.
- Previous experience with large-scale search infrastructure.
