Senior Tax Analyst

Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world

The Argentina Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for ensuring, executing, controlling and analyzing tax returns and compliance with the applicable law and requirements in Argentina and surrounding countries (Uruguay and Chile).

The impact you will make in this role:

- The individual will work closely with the tax, finance and accounting teams to provide guidance on tax matters and support the organization's tax operations.
- Perform direct tax calculations and work with third-party provider to prepare direct tax returns.
- Provide consultation to tax personnel and businesses about direct and indirect tax issues and outputs for generally defined items of medium to high complexity requiring general understanding of principles, theories, concepts and analysis.
- Provide support to subsidiaries, joint ventures, business staff and other tax department personnel by responding to a full range of low to medium complexity tax inquiries and assisting with a variety of tax compliance activities.
- Monitor legislation and generally accepted methods for verification of suppliers and participate in regular oversight of the process to continuously improve and ensure efficiency.
- Conduct tax related research and analysis requiring a general understanding of tax practices and procedures.
- Handle routine and straightforward correspondence with the external tax authorities.
- Advise on direct tax/transfer pricing matters applicable to routine business transactions, participating in the contract approval process for domestic transactions.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate team members.
- Review and analyze tax provisions and accruals for financial statements Provide support on tax-audit issues and identify key opportunities on recurrent local tax authorities’ inquiries.

Your Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar
- 4+ years of progressive experience in taxes, particularly in Federal and Provincial indirect taxes.
- Strong knowledge of Argentinian tax laws and regulations.
- Strong command of Microsoft, Excel, Access to cope with big databases.
- Advance fluency level in English (both verbal and written).

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

- Strong knowledge of Chile and/or Uruguay tax laws and regulations
- Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI and similar data analytics tools is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including networking and teamworking.
- Knowledge in government tax portals / websites
- Self driven & Proactive
