**About the team**

The payroll team is responsible for tracking and managing our company’s payroll data ensuring that all payroll procedures are in line with governmental laws and policies.

The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.

**About the position**

As the Payroll Supervisor you are responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing, according to local laws and regulations over all the countries where Satellogic is based.

The role is also a link between the HR, and finance departments and ensures that the payroll function is coordinated across the whole organization.

**Location**

The preferred location is Argentina.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise payroll activities for the different payroll entities and manage relationships with payroll firms
- Meet all statutory reporting requirements, regulation and compliance for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions, and ensure proper payroll taxes are filed.
- Review payroll accounting journal-entries and perform monthly payroll-account reconciliations jointly with the accounting team.
- Supervise and align the payroll team to consistently improve payroll processes
- Assist employees to resolve issues relating to payroll inquiries in a timely manner
- Monitor and implement statutory updates for regulations relating to payroll and time tracking
- Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports as needed.
- Complete monthly and yearly payroll and employment audit/reports as needed
- Develop, document and own policies, procedures, and SOX compliance internal controls over the payroll cycle.
- Communicate actively with Operations, HR, Finance, etc. to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.

**About you**

**Experience**
- Degree in Business Administration, Accountant or similar
- 6+ years of experience in Payroll
- 2+ years of experience leading teams.

**Skills**
- Advanced knowledge in local laws and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Advanced English proficiency levels.
- Attention to detail, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to take initiative, as well as excel management and prioritization abilities is required
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience working for a public company with SOX compliant internal control oversight is a plus
- Capacity to learn continuously and passion for pushing the limits.
