**Role summary**:
A Machine Operator will operate a variety of machines and equipment, including hand tools, to perform routine tasks within expected quality and safety guidelines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Machining blanks.
- Reading mechanical drawings and routings.
- Operate and maintain machines and equipment.
- Using hand tools.
- Move materials and parts to and from work areas.
- Ensure smooth production flow.
- Participate in troubleshooting technological and production problems.
- Comply with established guidelines and procedures.
- Comply with all safety procedures and policies.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Stand for extended periods of time.

**Experience**:

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and route sheets.
- Basic knowledge of shop mathematics
- Experience machining conventional and/or CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, shaper, grinding machine).
- Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, construction or similar environment.
- Experience using measuring instruments (micrometers, dial gauges, calipers, alesometers, etc.).
- Experience finishing parts to 0.01 millimeter accuracy.

**Preferred skills**:

- Degree in Technical (industrial, mechanical, etc.)
- 2 years experience in metal-mechanic industry
