Description
The IT Solutions Architect designs information technology solutions and services to be offered to external clients and for internal use within the organization. They possess a strong business and IT background to design software, networks, or any IT solution that delivers optimal results for the business.

Those in this role possess a clear customer-focused and results-oriented approach, along with a service quality mindset.

**Position Responsibilities**:
**Identify stakeholders in a project and their needs**: functional requirements, operational requirements, and non-functional requirements (performance, availability, scalability, etc.).
Design the entire system based on client requirements and service and/or project requirements.
Choose/provide the architecture and each component of the system.
Select technologies for the implementation of each component and their connections.
Lead and supervise/monitor the progress and proper performance (scope, quality, and time) of internal and external development and implementation teams, in line with commitments made.
Review codes and ensure project quality.
Interact effectively with client teams to achieve business objectives and agreed-upon deliverables.
Monitor the architecture after system implementation.
Continuously support and enhance the architecture, including version control and design, development, and change documentation.
Ensure that such continuous support and enhancement can be easily conveyed to the various teams that may be involved in ensuring the continuity of operation and functionality of the systems.

**Requirements**:
**Technical Skills**:
Technical focus on virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Docker), directory services (ADS, LDAP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and public and hybrid cloud technologies.
Experience in a DevOps culture, continuous delivery, and agile development methods would be ideal. Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Experience in service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Experience in designing and implementing software architecture in different environments, for example, JEE.
Knowledge of IT processes (ITIL framework) for planning, development, test planning, and testing (desirable in payment industry environments).
General knowledge of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid hardware and software solutions.
Knowledge of Blockchain and Smart Contracts (desirable).
Ability to work with software architecture development frameworks like TOGAF, DODAF, Zachman.
Knowledge of Universal Modeling Language (UML).

**Programming language knowledge**: Java, C#,.NET, J2EE, and Python.

**Knowledge of databases**: MySQL, PL/SQL, Oracle.
Knowledge of web servers (IIS).

**Version control**: GIT.
Knowledge and experience in API integrations (SOAP, XM-RPC, JSON-RPC, or REST).
Ticketing and project management tools (Jira, Mantis).
Knowledge of data modeling, visualization, and data structure.
Knowledge of relational databases.

**Soft Skills**:
Interpersonal and leadership skills, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Effective communication skills, written and spoken, with all levels of internal and external organization, technical and non-technical.
Ability to see how parts interact with the whole.
Ability for holistic and detailed vision and ability to move between both simultaneously.
Service-oriented toward internal and external customers.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Ability to adapt to new methodologies.
