  1. Plastics: With new technology trends, our plastic additives can be experienced in many everyday items including vinyl, blow-molding bottles, film, rigid containers, PVC plastics, siding, decks and rails, foam pipes and profile formulations, window frames and high-efficiency lubricants.
  2. Industrial intermediates: As the product of a reaction that is beneficial when used as a precursor chemical for another product, industrial intermediates can take on many shapes and forms. Ours are used in home comfort and appliance, building and construction, adhesives and lubricants, and more.
  3. Coatings: Whether it's a water-based coating or solvent-based coating, a thin film is deposited on materials to enhance specific properties such as enhanced performance, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.

Dow Chemical has an opportunity for a Administrative Specialist position located in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. Provides general administrative support to a leader or department. Exercises discretion and independent judgement in managing flow of work. Requires full proficiency gained through job-related training and on-the-job experience to perform a range of tasks under limited supervision.

Responsibilities / Duties
  1. Provide a wide variety of professional administrative support under limited direction to leaders, colleagues, or groups in the organization.
  2. Under limited direction, is competent in scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, ordering food/drink, and managing the visitor process. May attend meetings to assist with presenting materials or taking notes.
  3. Under limited direction, ensures communications flow properly utilizing knowledge of business/function's organization structure and overall Dow processes.
  4. Helps troubleshoot issues and serves as a point person for questions or guidance.
  5. May act as department focal point with external vendors, service providers, etc.
  6. Arranges domestic and international business travel and prepares travel itinerary.
  7. Books flights, cars, makes hotel and restaurant reservations.
  8. Schedules meetings and receives meeting notices for manager.
  9. Proactively manages conflicting meetings.
  10. Continuous improvement within work processes and systems.
  11. Maintaining and adding documents into SharePoint sites and Teams.
  12. Acts as the technical office equipment focal point to enable daily effectiveness.
  13. Completes expense reports for self and others and submits on behalf of leader and/or team.
  14. Monitor and track expenses against budgets; resolve discrepancies and provide reports to cost center owner or budget manager.
  15. May act as a workgroup safety warden and communicate safety messages to workgroup.
  16. Participates as an active team member on entire projects and can complete projects independently.
  17. Finds ways to improve project/team efficiency.
  18. Works with minimal direction to produce quality results.
  19. Overcomes obstacles to complete projects.
  20. Independently initiates activities that contribute to the achievement of team goals.
  21. Targets written and verbal communications to different audiences clearly and concisely.
  22. Alerts others who are affected by his/her work when or before problems arise.
  23. Independently understands and contributes to the goals of the team and their role within the team. Viewed as key contact in department.
  24. Relates project work with department/business objectives or strategy.
  25. Teaches and coaches others how to use standard office equipment and software systems.
  26. Maintains documents and records in accordance with company guidelines.
  27. Utilizes information integrity principles to properly classify, store and protect confidential technical information.
  28. Identifies customer/client/co-worker needs and responds to semi-routine requests.
  29. Understands and utilizes integration of different business/functional systems.
Experience


• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economy, Legal or related careers is preferred.

• Advanced English
