Extern opportunity for Respiratory Therapist
Provide routine respiratory therapy responsibilities; administer and monitor oxygen therapy to patients.
QualificationsHigh school plus trade or vocational school in Respiratory Care. Requires New Mexico Respiratory Care training permit and BLS certification. Less than one year experience in Respiratory Care. Must be CRTT eligible or currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program.
Education:
Essential: High School Diploma or GED
- All Pulmonary Technician I responsibilities.
- Maintains and ensures oxygen administration to patients and implements oxygen therapy protocol.
- Administers routine respiratory care responsibilities, to include nebulization, Chest PT, IPPB, etc.
- Performs diagnostic procedures to include EKG, bedside spirometry, nocturnal oximetry and ABGs.
- Assists in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
