About the Job

This is a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist position, working on an as-needed basis to provide respiratory care services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong clinical background, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and advanced respiratory care services, including management of ventilators and implementation of cardiorespiratory protocols.
  • Perform advanced airway care, including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.
  • Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators.
  • Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of college-level courses or an associate's degree in respiratory care.
  • New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License and Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
  • ACLS and/or PALS certification required; BLS certification also required.
  • Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred.
