The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research or Senior Research Analyst professional based in Buenos Aires to play a key role in the growth of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) research team. This position requires the candidate to help build our business practice by developing insightful strategic research, proactively supporting client engagements and some business development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Domain Expertise – Become a thought leader in the PPE team, delivering value via strategic research, client engagement, global press, and social media outreach.
  • Intellectual Property and Strategic Evaluation – Develop actionable, strategic, insightful, up-to-date market intelligence based on primary and secondary market research on the technologies, and services that the PPE industry sells.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Business Development – Maintain business relationships with global PPE players by regularly participating in briefings with them and working under the guidance of colleagues to conduct business needs analysis for Frost & Sullivan clients.
  • Consulting Engagement – Proactively contribute to industrial technologies consulting projects under the guidance of senior team members, demonstrate specialist knowledge in the industrial technologies industry, and utilize defined research and analytical practices in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role PPE plays in ensuring worker safety around the world. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.

Essential

  • A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in business marketing, market research, economics, journalism, or technology.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the related industry is preferable.
  • A degree-level education or equivalent experience within a relevant related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of analyst/consulting working experience within a Consulting and/or Advisory services business environment.
  • The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
  • A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modeling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
  • A foundational understanding of the personal safety industry, such as industry structure, operational practices, business functionalities, and competitive landscapes.
  • Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the PPE domain to become a respected thought leader in the eyes of global industry vendors.
  • The ability to network to create new vendor relationships and to proactively manage ongoing relationships to stay relevant to them.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting business development initiatives that benefit the entire team.
  • An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
  • The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
  • Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.
  • A team player who views team collaboration as an important path to professional development.
