We are looking for a dynamic leader and manager for a high-growth, corporate-backed venture supported by leading internationally traded companies and well-established local partners at the forefront of travel and innovation. The company aims to become a B2C LATAM market leader and will revolutionize the travel booking e-commerce experience with a technology-driven approach.

Job Summary :
The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing the strategic, financial, and operational performance of the company. The GM will drive the company's P&L, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with the company's mission and objectives in the fast-evolving travel sector. This role requires a self-starting leader with proven management skills, an analytical mindset, and strong business acumen who can work effectively across Latin American markets.

The GM will be expected to approach the role with a proactive, hands-on mindset, actively engaging in learning the online travel industry's niche dynamics, including pricing and revenue management, data analytics, and operational processes to identify opportunities and refine strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage.
  • P&L Ownership : Take full accountability for the company's P&L, ensuring revenue targets are met, and costs are managed efficiently.
  • International Operations Management : Oversee multi-market operations, ensuring scalability and adaptability of the business model in diverse global markets.
  • Business Development : Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, including industry partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Team Management and Development : Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring teams are aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Utilize market insights, performance data, and trends to make informed decisions and refine business strategies.
  • Stakeholder Reporting : Provide regular reports and updates to the board and investors on business performance and strategic initiatives.

Requirements :

  • Experience : At least 5 years of meaningful experience in management or leadership roles within online or e-commerce related sectors with a deep understanding of product and B2C. Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus. Experience in the travel industry is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of P&L management, with a track record of delivering revenue growth and maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Global Market Knowledge : Demonstrated experience managing or expanding business operations in international markets.
  • Leadership Skills : Exceptional people management skills, with experience building and leading cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong data analysis and business intelligence skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred but not a must.
