The Finance Assistant Director will support the financial reporting and accounting functions related to legal entities and general ledger activities. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. The Assistant Director will lead a team of accounting professionals, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization's financial objectives; mainly focusing on the Record-to-Report and Source-to-Pay functions.

Leadership and Team Management:

  1. Lead, mentor, and build a team of accounting professionals in Legal Entity and General Ledger accounting.
  2. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  3. Effective stakeholder management across different regions.
  4. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Accounting Activities:

  1. Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  2. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  3. Manage the Entity Setups, Organization Structure, and Chart of Accounts.
  4. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  5. Maintain fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
  6. Conduct regular audits to verify asset existence and condition and prepare reports for management review.
  7. Calculate lease amortization and interest expenses and maintain related documentation.
  8. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations for fixed assets and leases and assist in financial statement preparation.
  9. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as internal reporting packages.
  10. Support the month-end, quarterly-end, year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  11. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and explanations.
  12. Assist with acquisitions and integration activities such as ensuring compliance, aligning accounting procedures, integrating financial systems, ensuring entity is reflected in combined financial statements.
  13. Perform full cycle accounting including partner cost analysis and recoveries, journal entry processing, billing, collections, planning, forecasting, and reporting for non-US Legal Entities.
  14. Oversee and reconcile cross-border transactions, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
  15. Provide support to customers throughout the Accounts Payable lifecycle, ensuring bank details are up to date, invoices are received, and cash disbursements are completed.
  16. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, and act as a contact point for queries regarding Travel & Expense.

Basic qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an accounting or a finance role.
  3. Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams, driving performance.
  4. Maintains an in-depth understanding of both US and international accounting principles.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, PowerApp), PowerBI, Data Analytics tools, and SAP is essential.
  7. Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
  8. Proficiency in English.
  9. Ability to liaise with US, Americas, and Global based roles.
  10. Provide support and guidance to team members as needed.
