As a key member of the Nobelbiz team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our IT infrastructure's stability, security, and efficiency, ensuring seamless operations for our global clientele. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise, take ownership of critical systems, and contribute to enhancing our internal and customer-facing infrastructure.

What are we looking for: Must have:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a previous systems administration or technical support position.
  2. A proactive mindset, i.e. getting things done.
  3. University Degree in Telecommunications/Computer Science.
  4. Excellent knowledge of Windows Server and MS SQL Server.
  5. Strong scripting skills in Windows PowerShell and Bash.
  6. Experience in setting up and managing database systems like SQL Server and MySQL.
  7. Good working knowledge of Linux-based operating system servers.
  8. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Vmware and Proxmox.
  9. Knowledge of cloud environments, particularly AWS.
  10. Understanding automation systems such as Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform is a plus.
  11. Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

  1. Knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, including experience with Cisco routers, switches, and security appliances.
  2. Proficiency in network monitoring tools like Centreon, Nagios, and Cacti.
  3. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and display a willingness to learn.
  4. Ability to work in a high-availability environment and maintain quality customer service skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

What will you do:

  1. Installing hardware and software within the Nobelbiz infrastructure.
  2. Developing, maintaining, and monitoring procedures for server backups.
  3. Assisting, organizing and managing the inventory of hardware and software resources.
  4. Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  5. Maintaining excellent communication with the Director of Operations and peers regarding tasks and projects.
  6. Addressing security compliance-related tasks.
  7. Providing sysadmin/DevOps assistance to the support team and implementation teams.
  8. Escalating critical issues to senior system administrators.
  9. Assisting the Nobelbiz team members with help desk support.

Work schedule: 5 work days Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 (EST)
