The Work You'll Do

The main responsibility of this position is to ensure the quality of products, tools, and services developed by Sovos. The person in this role must thoroughly understand problems and proposed solutions, as well as estimate the effort required to test stories. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to provide support to other team members when needed.

A QA Engineer III is expected to develop deep product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of Sovos's products, becoming a subject matter expert in multiple modules.

More Specifically, You Will

  1. Analyze and understand software modules being modified and design a test plan
  2. Perform impact analysis to assess changes in software functionality
  3. Write and execute test cases (manual and automated)
  4. Develop and maintain regression test suites and test plans
  5. Create test scenarios and execute exploratory/ad-hoc testing alongside predefined test plans
  6. Identify opportunities for test automation and create automated test scripts
  7. Maintain and enhance automated test cases for improved test efficiency
  8. Actively participate in team meetings, providing insights and improvements
  9. Understand the release process and its impact on testing and team workflows
What We Need From You

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
  2. Intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal)
  3. Three years of related work experience in software testing or quality assurance
  4. Understanding of agile methodology and software development lifecycle
  5. Knowledge of relational databases and data validation techniques
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
