Job Overview:

Maximize the performance and growth of the Mercedes-Benz USA New Car and Wholesale business by driving revenue opportunities across New and Pre-Owned vehicle sales, digital services, vehicle accessories, and customer loyalty instruments while enhancing customer satisfaction as a key driver for retention and long-term brand loyalty.

Ensure that dealer partners are high-performing, profitable, well-trained, client/community-focused, and competitively positioned in the market. Lead the implementation of policies, processes, and programs that facilitate the successful execution of MBUSA’s network strategy while achieving defined business objectives.

This role requires a balanced approach of both onsite and virtual support of assigned dealers to ensure continuous dealer engagement and development, capitalizing on business opportunities, and fostering long-term growth across all revenue streams while focusing on maximizing customer retention and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Business Development & Performance Consulting (75%)

  1. Field-based, with up to 75% travel to dealers and dealer groups, providing direct on-site or virtual support to foster business development and performance improvements.
  2. Partner with MBUSA headquarters teams to implement strategic business initiatives and identify growth opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with dealers/MBUSA to optimize vehicle allocation and align inventory with market demand.
  4. Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with dealership management.
  5. Accountable for implementation of strategic plans/messaging, guiding dealers through performance initiatives.
  6. Provide expert consultation to dealership leadership emphasizing strategies/programs to increase sales and optimize product allocation.
  7. Collaborate with teams to analyze performance trends and provide actionable insights.
  8. Design and implement actionable business plans that align with MBUSA’s objectives.
  9. Support dealers in executing effective marketing initiatives and sales strategies.
  10. Identify dealer training and development needs.

Process/Program Compliance (10%)

  1. Utilize MBUSA defined tools, methods, and policies in consulting dealers.
  2. Implement processes that focus on long-term sustainability and performance consistency.
  3. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all projects and performance improvement strategies.

Team/Cultural Development (5%)

  1. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and transparency.
  2. Lead projects with a focus on transformation.

Qualifications

Education

  1. Degree in Automotive Management, Business Management, Finance, or related field preferred; or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Experience

  1. Over 7 years of proven experience in Sales & Aftersales Retail/Wholesale operations.
  2. A minimum of 5 years with Mercedes-Benz USA or equivalent OEM experience.

Skills

  1. Self-Motivated and Go-Getter mentality.
  2. Proficient at building and maintaining collaborative relationships.
  3. Advanced experience in market research, data analysis, and performance metrics.

Additional Information

Knowledge of federal and state Franchise laws is a plus.
