Job Overview:
Maximize the performance and growth of the Mercedes-Benz USA New Car and Wholesale business by driving revenue opportunities across New and Pre-Owned vehicle sales, digital services, and customer loyalty instruments while enhancing customer satisfaction.
This role requires a balance of onsite and virtual support of assigned dealers to ensure continuous engagement and development, capitalizing on business opportunities, and fostering long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Performance Consulting (75%)
- Field-based, with up to 75% travel to dealers and dealer groups, providing direct support to foster business development and performance improvements.
- Partners with MBUSA headquarter teams to implement strategic business initiatives and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborates with dealers to optimize vehicle allocation and align inventory with market demand.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with dealership management and operational teams.
- Accountable for implementation of strategic plans and guiding dealers through performance initiatives.
- Focuses on improving operational KPIs and customer experience indices.
- Collaborates with internal teams to analyze performance trends and provide actionable insights.
- Process/Program Compliance (10%)
- Utilizes MBUSA defined tools and policies in consulting dealers.
- Implements processes focusing on long-term sustainability and performance consistency.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all projects and performance improvement strategies.
- Facility Management & Brand Compliance (5%)
- Ensure dealership facilities meet Mercedes-Benz brand standards.
- Regularly assess dealership buildings and support dealers in compliance with brand standards.
- Team/Cultural Development (5%)
- Fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation within the organization.
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Automotive Management, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred; or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience
- Over 7 years of proven experience in Sales & Aftersales Retail/Wholesale operations.
- A minimum of 5 years with Mercedes-Benz USA or equivalent OEM experience.
Skills
- Self-Motivated with a Go-Getter mentality.
- Proficient at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Deep passion for the automotive industry and customer-centric sales practices.
- Strong business development skills.
