About the role

Regional Sales Director - Southern California

Trustmark Voluntary Benefits is a division of Trustmark Companies, a leading insurer, benefits administrator, and wellness company. Key Responsibilities

  1. Increases new business sales through establishing strong, consultative partnerships with major worksite and voluntary benefit distributors.
  2. Activities will include learning and staying informed on health care trends, market intelligence and product information for all product solutions within voluntary benefits.
  3. Establishing, updating and managing target account lists and pipeline management.
  4. Following a comprehensive sales process that includes marketing programs, educational seminars, customer needs analysis meetings, and presentations.
  5. Managing both external and internal stakeholders throughout the sales process.
  6. Contributing to sales planning, forecasting, and product development.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Achieve annual new business sales, net growth & reenrollment objectives as assigned.
  2. Demonstrate the value proposition to distribution partners.
  3. Direct and manage the acquisition process by establishing priorities with sales support team.
  4. Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with Sales Implementation, Key Account Managers, and other stakeholders.
  5. Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships, conducting market analysis, and cold calling.
  6. Partner with marketing and product development to create demand in the marketplace.
  7. Monitor and report on competition to evaluate Trustmark's position in the marketplace.
  8. Utilize Salesforce.com for activity reporting, forecasting, and business requests.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 5 years of Voluntary product sales or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience generating and analyzing reports to enhance sales or customer experience.
  3. Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and make timely decisions.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  6. Interpersonal effectiveness with proven ability to establish/maintain mutually respectful relationships.
  7. Capable of operating the complete MS Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is $95,514.00 - $137,965.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.

In addition to compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health/dental/vision, life insurance, FSA and HSA, 401(k) plan, Employee Assistant Program, and many health and wellness initiatives.
