We are currently looking for a highly talented individual to join us as the Senior Manager for Innovative Medicine Communications, Public Affairs, and Patient Advocacy in South Latin America. This role is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This position involves developing and executing strategic plans, public affairs, and communication strategies to support J&J IM core therapeutic areas in Latin America South. The role requires the creation of strategies that engage and influence partners, build trust and advocacy, drive business objectives, and foster employee advocacy and engagement. Additionally, the Senior Manager will oversee effective communication and PA programs, implement communication tools to bolster J&J LAS strategy, trust, and reputation, while also supporting access strategies with appropriate Public Affairs considerations, in alignment with other strategic functions.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a corporate communications strategy for LAS to enhance J&J IM reputation in the region, aligning with corporate initiatives, assets, and partner involvement where necessary. Crafting a communication strategy that articulates our company's vision for external audiences, strengthening Janssen's corporate image and reputation.
  • Engaging with key external stakeholders, fostering relationships, and enabling senior leaders to interact with them effectively to enhance our reputation.
  • Contributing to external thought leadership and public policy, collaborating seamlessly with External Affairs staff in LAS and partnering with industry trade associations across different countries in the region.
  • Monitoring the trade, industry, and business media landscape, identifying trends, and seizing opportunities for impactful local campaigns in collaboration with regional communication and public affairs teams.
  • Collaborating with the Patient Advocacy group across the cluster to support initiatives that empower patients to access treatments.
  • Developing and implementing organizational communication strategies, including leadership communication, to engage, educate, and motivate employees to drive exceptional results and become ambassadors for the company. Providing strategic counsel and support to local Managing Directors and the local/cluster board.
  • Partnering with regional digital communication colleagues to devise and implement internal communication strategies for products or new indications.
  • Managing communication and professional agencies supporting Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and brands/Tas, including developing communication budgets and resource management.
  • Supervising the approval processes for communication materials at regional and global levels, ensuring alignment with branding, HCC, and Regulatory guidelines.
