PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Project Controlling COE Team (CoE PCO) is a segment of the Business Area Controlling Team, offering support to the Services Management Team, Delivery Management teams, as well as the Business Area Controllers on local, regional, and global levels. They provide financial insights and guidance throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring visibility of any financial ramifications on market unit profit and loss positions.

The team aids Project Managers and Delivery Execution teams in successfully executing projects while simultaneously prioritizing profitability and financial compliance. Moreover, the CoE PCO team contributes to defining and implementing new internal solutions, guidelines, and processes to enable effective and efficient project management.

KEY SKILL SET REQUIRED

  • Commercial and deal execution Support - Assist in deals during the Bid Phase from financial and accounting perspectives.
  • Advise Project Managers on establishing the appropriate financial steering models during the monitoring phase.
  • Evaluate project forecasts and participate in financial closing activities to identify potential financial risks and ensure accurate project accounting.
  • Enhance transparency of project financial impacts on forecasts to ensure reliability in forecasting.
  • Offer financial analysis to Top management to facilitate customer negotiations and strategic business decisions.
  • Provide Financial Transparency at global, regional, and Market unit levels for key customer accounts.
  • Drive standardization and enhancement of business operations, controlling, and delivery processes to improve financial oversight and project management at local, regional, and global scales.
  • Conduct training and enablement sessions for the rollout of new processes and tools.
  • Promote compliance and accurate accounting postings in collaboration with Revenue Recognition, Corporate Audit, and CFR teams.
  • Exemplify the use of SAP products, enhancing financial monitoring efficiency.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Thorough understanding of the SAP Services business.
  • Exceptional communication skills (particularly in English) and adeptness in grasping complex frameworks.
  • Superior financial and analytical abilities.
  • Conceptual thinking and structured work style, with sharp prioritization, results-driven, and execution-focused mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and executive management.
  • Proficiency in identifying inefficiencies in business processes and implementing corrective measures.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level, with knowledge of additional languages considered a bonus.
  • Good command of MS Office applications (Excel/PowerPoint), SAP ERP, and SAP BO tools.
  • Experience in Revenue Accounting (RAR) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is advantageous.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Five or more years of professional experience with a strong emphasis on controlling processes.
  • Prior experience in the SAP Services Business is beneficial.
