Purpose and Objectives

The Project Controlling COE Team (CoE PCO) is an integral part of the Business Area Controlling Team, providing financial insights and guidance across the entire project lifecycle. They offer visibility into the financial impact on the market unit's profit and loss position, supporting project managers and delivery teams in achieving successful project delivery while maintaining a focus on profitability and financial compliance. Additionally, the CoE PCO team plays a key role in defining and implementing new internal solutions, guidelines, and processes to facilitate effective project management.

Essential Skills Required

  • Commercial and deal execution Support - Assist in deal support during the bid phase from a financial and accounting perspective.
  • Advise Project Managers on establishing the appropriate financial steering model during the monitoring phase
  • Evaluate project forecasts and participate in financial closing activities to identify potential financial risks and ensure accurate project accounting.
  • Enhance transparency of project financial impacts on forecasts to ensure forecast reliability.
  • Offer financial analysis to top management to support customer negotiations and strategic business decisions.
  • Provide Financial Transparency at global, regional, and market unit levels for strategic customer accounts.
  • Enhance standardization and improvement of business operations, controlling, and delivery processes to enhance financial management at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Conduct trainings and enablement for the rollout of new processes and tools.
  • Promote compliance and accurate account postings in collaboration with Revenue Recognition, Corporate Audit, and CFR teams.
  • Set an example by utilizing SAP products to improve financial monitoring efficiency

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in SAP Services business
  • Effective communication skills (in English) and the ability to comprehend complex frameworks.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Structured work style, prioritization, results-oriented, and execution-focused.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills for successful interaction with colleagues and executive management.
  • Ability to diagnose inefficiencies in business processes and drive corrective actions.
  • Business-level English, additional languages are a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Excel/PowerPoint), SAP ERP, and SAP BO tools.
  • Experience in Revenue Accounting (RAR) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is advantageous

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience with a focus on controlling processes.
  • Experience in SAP Services Business is beneficial.
