PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is undergoing continuous transformation to enhance engagement with its stakeholders.

This evolution is crucial to adapt to the rapidly changing environment, transition into a digital organization, align with the Board's ambitious growth plans, and support SAP's strategy.


ABOUT THE GPO MARKETING CATEGORY

The Marketing Category Team, part of the Global Procurement Organization, offers excellent business support to both internal and external stakeholders.

This team handles global sourcing strategies in partnership with business owners, legal, controlling, and manages sourcing and suppliers worldwide.

The GPO Marketing Category oversees the procurement of various services including Advertising & Brand, Paid Media, Direct & Digital Marketing, Events, Market Research, Merchandise, Public Relations, and Sponsorships.

We are seeking a committed Senior Procurement Specialist to focus on Events & Sponsorships.



EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
  • Profound knowledge in Events and/or Sponsorships.
  • Integrate and collaborate within a team that prioritizes teamwork and success.
  • Serve as a consultant and business value enabler for key stakeholders.
  • Understand SAP's current and future needs.
  • Manage suppliers and review their performance.
  • Conduct RFIs and RFPs in relevant marketing areas.
  • Lead contracting and compliance activities.
  • Perform market analyses and explore capabilities for market intelligence.
  • Adapt processes efficiently to changing market conditions.
  • Research and recommend new suppliers and engagement models.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience in Events & Sponsorships domain with knowledge of end-to-end operational processes.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management.
  • Open to innovation, driving change, and collaborating effectively.
  • Understanding of procurement and sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to work globally and in virtual environments.
  • Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3+ years in Events or Sponsorships Industries/Procurement.
  • 5+ years in progressive procurement and category management within a multinational business.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills to translate business requirements into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to manage priorities and resources effectively.
  • Experience in fast-paced complex environments.
