Who we are looking for:
Black Dragon Capital is in search of a detail-oriented Private Equity Finance professional to handle financial accounting responsibilities for various portfolio companies. The role involves preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, managing the general ledger, preparing tax returns, aiding in audit preparations, and undertaking other accounting tasks as needed. The ideal candidate must possess a strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), robust financial analysis skills, and previous experience in private equity or investment firms. At Black Dragon Capital, we leverage our operational expertise to drive our firm's operations and investment management, ensuring a unique approach to building a distinctive investment firm.

What you will be working on:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret the general ledger and financial statements in compliance with fund requirements, policies, and GAAP
  • Conduct technical accounting research and apply relevant findings to funds and investments
  • Manage portfolio company cash flow with a focus on board and executive presentations, liquidity analysis, cash flow assessment, and oversight
  • Perform financial analytics to assess portfolio performance and support board and executive inquiries
  • Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders and portfolio company executives
  • Oversee month-end journal entries, accounting transactions, reconciliations, and financial record-keeping
  • Review inter-company transactions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Maintain balance sheet schedules, conduct account reconciliations, and manage fiscal records
  • Develop and maintain systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial information
About You:
  • Operational experience in a technology company with exposure to venture capital or private equity environments
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an accounting focus
  • 7+ years' experience in general or tax accounting, preferably in Private Equity
  • Prior roles as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager, with experience working with portfolio companies and C-Suite executives
  • Proficient in accounting software and system implementations
  • Thorough knowledge of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, and cost control
  • Strong analytical skills to drive process improvements and recommendations
  • Ability to collaborate with senior executives, mentor team members, and lead effectively
