Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Reporting – 70%:
    • Define overall testing strategy and Automation strategy for the team.
    • Implement & monitor testing processes for all testing phases.
    • Create milestones, test plans, and reports.
    • Identify automation opportunities and advocate for increased automation coverage.
    • Provide training to the QA team.
    • Represent QA in all forums and serve as the main contact for the testing team.
    • Monitor team performance and seek ways to enhance efficiency.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering and product leads to optimize processes.
  • Execution – 30%:
    • Participate actively in key initiative planning and strategy meetings.
    • Collaborate with engineers and project leads to prioritize and address issues.
    • Analyze requirements, design docs, and offer testing-focused insights.
    • Create test plans and execute test cases for strategic initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain automation tests as part of the automation framework.
    • Review, log, and prioritize defects related to strategic initiatives.
    • Support live site testing when required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of QA team leadership experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript, Java, or Python.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating test strategies and plans.
  • Expertise in driving automation test development and API testing.
  • Experience with tools like Playwright, Selenium, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, etc.
  • Familiarity with mobile automation testing tools for Android and iOS.
  • Strong analytical skills to prioritize tests and enhance application functionalities through automation.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to identify areas for improvement in web and mobile applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Upper-intermediate level of English.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Elixir and Phoenix framework.
  • Experience in OOP languages such as Perl, PHP (Drupal).
  • Knowledge of Storybook and CI/CD QA automation workflows.
  • Preferably, experience with Scrum methodology and e-commerce applications.
  • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Share Point, and Test Management tools.
