The Latin America Public Policy team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join us as a Public Policy Associate. This role will be pivotal in spearheading regional product and regulatory initiatives across Latin America. Candidates should have knowledge of Internet policy issues and project management skills. We are looking for candidates with previous experience working at the crossroads of tech and policy with government, civil society, tech companies, think tanks, technical community, consulting firms, or related organizations This is a full-time position located in our Buenos Aires office.

Public Policy Associate, Latam Responsibilities

  • Execute cross-functional regional and country-wide strategic initiatives, focusing on product and legislative policy priorities

  • Conduct research on key topics to enrich narratives, collaborating closely with other teams

  • Articulate regional and local policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings

  • Develop streamlined processes for evaluating products, considering public policy implications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field

  • Experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory processes and policy development

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation to assess policy impact and outcomes

  • Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field

  • Experience working in a regulatory or public policy role, preferably in the technology or related industry

  • Familiarity with regional regulatory frameworks and policy trends in Latin America.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy efforts.

  • Proficiency in additional languages spoken in Latin America (e.g., Portuguese)
