We offer a unique opportunity to become a Bitcoin Core contributor, one of the most prestigious positions in open source. This is an 18-month program designed to provide you with the financial stability, mentorship, and structure needed to build your contributor track record. You will work with Librería de Satoshi , dedicating the majority of your time to Bitcoin Core contributions (70%). Location Competitive Annual Salary: $50,000 to $80,000 USD (based on experience). Direct Mentorship from experienced Bitcoin Core developers. Community of fellow developers on the same journey. Financial Support: Paid in Bitcoin, USD, or preferred local currency. Coverage of expenses for conferences and Bitcoin development events. Main Responsibilities Bitcoin Core Contributions (70%): Make significant contributions to the Bitcoin Core repository, participate in PR reviews and testing, and engage with the developer community on GitHub and IRC. Professional Development (10%): Attend conferences and workshops. Technical Skills Strong C++ proficiency (comfortable reading and writing modern C++). Experience in systems programming (memory, concurrency, networking). Proficiency in Git (rebasing, cherry-picking). Familiarity with Linux/Unix . Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. Bitcoin Knowledge Genuine interest and understanding of Bitcoin fundamentals (UTXOs, transactions, blocks, nodes). Must have at least compiled and run Bitcoin Core from source. Communication: Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is desirable.
