Senior Python Developer

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design build and release software products using modern programming languages frameworks and libraries. Working closely with cross-functional teams our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a strong client focus. As a Python Senior Developer at Endava you will play a key role in delivering scalable backend and cloud-based solutions using Python and modern frameworks. Responsibilities Design develop and maintain backend solutions and ETL workflows that extract validate process and transfer data across systems. Work across the full backend stack application code infrastructure and databases ensuring scalability and maintainability. Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines automated tests and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar tools. Monitor and optimize ETL jobs and backend services to ensure reliability performance and efficient data flow. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to validate data correct issues and deliver accurate timely reports. Participate in architecture and implementation design discussions ensuring alignment with scalability performance and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Communicate progress blockers and risks proactively with stakeholders. Contribute to a culture of technical excellence ownership and continuous improvement within the team. Qualifications 68 years of experience in backend development using Python. Proven experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines and data processing workflows. Strong background in backend architecture and scalable system design. Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as Lambda Step Functions S3 RDS and CloudWatch. Proficiency in tools like SQLAlchemy Alembic boto3 Pydantic and pytest. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and containerized environments (Docker). Solid understanding of databases data validation and integration patterns. Familiarity with observability practices and monitoring systems in production environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong sense of ownership proactivity in dynamic contexts. Advanced English level mandatory.
