We're looking for a Lead Unreal Engineer with extensive Unreal programming experience in games. As a Lead Engineer, you will oversee several Unreal team members, ensuring code quality and task allocation across multiple projects. You will make major architectural decisions, help producers plan the next months, and shape the Unreal department’s strategy. What You Will Do Collaborate with several team members simultaneously Architect projects in partnership with the technical director Help producers plan ahead by identifying non-visible requirements and mitigating risks Create high-quality code in Unreal Engine Manage multiple projects at the same time Engage with new and existing clients Develop company strategy for the Unreal department Assist developers and technical artists with current tasks Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in game development 3+ years as a professional Unreal Game Developer Strong knowledge of modern Unreal C++ and Blueprints Comprehensive understanding of multiple disciplines in Unreal Engine (AI, animation, gameplay programming) Experience delivering titles, including at least one AAA shipping title Ability to mentor developers from junior to senior levels Proficiency in code review Excellent communication skills Flexibility to adapt to new technologies as project needs arise Previous experience as a Lead Developer Knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab, and Plastic SCM Passion for video games Desirable Pluses Experience with custom engines written in C++ Experience managing several projects concurrently Experience with multiplayer gameplay systems, network replication, core engine work, and virtual reality technologies Solid technical foundation (Computer Science or equivalent degree) Understanding of the software development life cycle Benefits Project-based fully remote position Opportunity to work on diverse pipelines and projects, improving your skills Part of an international group with offices worldwide Career growth and development opportunities Fast-paced, multicultural team environment Ongoing training and professional development Flexible working hours Inclusive culture and open communication Salary commensurate with experience At Magic Media, our passion lies in gaming.
