This is the job We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js and Java (Spring Boot) to support the development and evolution of cloud-based, high-availability solutions. The role focuses on backend development with modern architectures, cloud deployments, and scalable, event-driven services. If further project details are not available, this role contributes to digital transformation initiatives across cloud, API, and distributed system environments. This is the team You’ll join a technical team dedicated to building scalable services, integrating cloud components, and ensuring robust, secure, and high-performance backend solutions. The team collaborates closely with architects, frontend/mobile developers, QA engineers, and cloud specialists, fostering an environment of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement. This is you Senior Backend Developer with3–5+ years of experience in: Node.js Java (Spring Boot) Strong understanding of microservices and/or event-driven architectures . Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments . Familiarity working with Serverless Framework or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs . Hands‑on experience with NoSQL databases . Ability to write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code . Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience designing and/or developing scalable and highly available architectures . Nice‑to‑have skills: Experience with AWS , including: AWS Lambda, API Gateway SQS, SNS Step Functions, EventBridge DynamoDB Knowledge of TypeScript . Experience with cloud‑native or serverless environments at scale. This is your role Lead backend development using Node.js and Java Spring Boot . Design, build, and maintain microservices and event‑driven components . Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services. Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on cloud platforms . Work with NoSQL databases to design scalable and efficient storage structures. Contribute to architectural decisions for high‑availability and scalable systems . Implement best practices in code quality, performance, and documentation. Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and team planning. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration. Support CI/CD workflows and IaC automation when applicable. What awaits you at Avenga?
