Position Overview The Marketing Cloud Senior Developer will develop solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform to support critical business functions and meet project requirements. This role requires a strong blend of technical proficiency, creative problem‑solving, and a keen eye for detail. You will collaborate closely with marketers, designers, data specialists, and campaign managers to deliver impactful digital experiences that engage millions of customers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy complex marketing automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Cloud Pages, and Mobile Studio). Implement data‑driven personalization and segmentation leveraging Data Extensions, SQL Queries, and AMPscript logic. Develop and optimize Cloud Pages, forms, and landing pages integrated with Marketing Cloud data and APIs. Build and maintain journeys/automations for triggered, behavioral, and lifecycle campaigns. Design and implement data integration workflows between SFMC and other systems (Sales/Service Cloud, CDP, or external data sources). Create and manage data extensions, query activities, and automation processes for efficient data flow. Use coding guidelines, and best practices within the Marketing Cloud ecosystem. Serve as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) for all SFMC‑related development work. Partner with architects and marketing ops teams to drive platform enhancements and new capabilities. Collaborate with marketing and design teams to bring creative concepts to life while ensuring technical feasibility. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize for speed, reliability, and engagement. Oversee rendering, and deliverability validation using tools such as Litmus. Maintain high standards of data privacy, compliance (CAN‑SPAM, GDPR), and security. Partner with analytics teams to establish performance tracking, reporting, and insights from SFMC data. Continuously evaluate new SFMC features, releases, and industry best practices to enhance platform capabilities. Explore and implement AI, personalization, and predictive intelligence capabilities within Marketing Coud. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent with 7‑10 years of IT experience and minimum 5 years’ experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Thorough knowledge of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform and understanding of core email marketing and automation concepts. Experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Contact Builder, Automations, SQL, Content Builder and Audience creation for Advertising Studio. Attention to detail and experience in email testing and debugging using Litmus. Understanding of Salesforce best practices for marketing automation. Ability and desire to work with a high degree of independence and ownership in a geographically distributed team consisting of other developers and project management resources.
