Senior BI Analyst

Responsibilities Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and outline project goals Examine and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose creative, data-focused solutions Lead workshops, conduct stakeholder interviews, and manage requirements-gathering efforts Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and use cases Act as a key link between business teams and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle Convert business requirements into functional specifications for development teams Assist in solution implementation and testing to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations Oversee projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high standards Requirements At least 3 years of experience as a BI Analyst, preferably in the insurance sector Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and writing prototype queries, including joins, aggregates, and basic window functions Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, including ETL/ELT processes, Data Lakes, Data Marts, star and snowflake schemas, and the distinction between fact and dimension tables Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations Familiarity with data quality concepts such as accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness, as well as experience with validation or user acceptance testing of reports Ability to translate business needs into KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks Experience analyzing data models, including ER diagrams and relationships between entities Knowledge of master data, reference data, and metadata management principles Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to independently suggest new ideas, improvements, and innovative solutions Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities English fluency at B2 level or higher for effective collaboration and communication Nice to have Deep understanding of insurance industry processes and regulatory standards Familiarity with other BI tools or eagerness to explore emerging technologies in the field of data analytics We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology, Engineering, and Research Industries Software Development, IT Services and IT Consulting, and Technology, Information and Internet #J-18808-Ljbffr
