Start Date: ASAP. Duration: Permanent. Salary: To be discussed in an interview. Essential Requirements You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification. You must have a degree (e.g., BA, BSc). We are looking for enthusiastic and inspirational leaders to form part of our project consolidating over 68 years of language teaching in Spain. We are passionate about helping people and believe in providing quality language teaching. Responsibilities Managing the daily running of the academy (courses, classes, organising classrooms, teachers’ hours, standby, etc.) alongside the AM team. Leading, motivating and organising the teaching team. Implementing protocols for quality, standardisation and health and safety. Ensuring quality assurance of the teaching operation. Providing didactic support to learners and teachers, including covering classes of any age or level as necessary. Customer service. Assisting the Commercial department in promoting the academy’s services to corporate and institutional clients. Assisting with the development and implementation of products and publicity. Recruitment. Assisting with trainings, not only in the pedagogic area. Qualifications The ability to work well in a team. An understanding of customers’ needs. A proactive, positive attitude. A very strong EFL background with all ages of students and a good working knowledge of Cambridge ESOL exams (DELTA would be considered an advantage). A liking for people and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written English. Proven organisational and administrative skills. Significant experience of teaching online, ideally with Zoom. IT skills. The ability to help resolve a wide variety of teacher and student problems and to work under stress. An understanding of the commercial side. The ability to be flexible according to the changing needs of the academy and its clients. Management experience. A good level of Spanish (B2 or above) or an ability to learn fast. Commitment to providing stability and a vision of the future. Right to work in the EU. Benefits Accommodation : Accommodation and settling‑in allowance up to €300, travel costs and three nights in a local hotel. Visa : Social security and national insurance. The HR department will help you with Spanish paperwork. Holiday : Paid holiday includes Christmas (approx. 2 weeks), Holy week (1 week) plus national and local holidays. About the School and City IH Córdoba, known locally as “Academia Britanica”, was the first IH founded by John and Brita Haycraft in 1953. The school now has two locations: the CENTRO school in the old town and the SIERRA school in a residential area. Facilities include 22 classrooms, a staffroom, a computer room, an open‑plan study centre, air‑conditioning, central heating, WIFI and interactive whiteboards.
