About the Role
Our client, a marketing agency, is looking for a mid- to senior-level UX/UI Designer to join their Web team and lead the design of websites, landing pages, and ecommerce stores for their clients. You'll turn business goals into user-centered, conversion-focused experiences, from research and information architecture to high-fidelity UI and developer handoff. Every design you create will be built and launched, so the team is looking for a designer with senior-level visual craft and a proven track record of live ecommerce work.
Key Responsibilities
- Research each client's business, audience, and competitors, and turn insights into user personas, user journeys, and a clear content hierarchy
- Define information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes
- Design high-fidelity, mobile-first UI for websites, landing pages, and ecommerce stores
- Apply CRO best practices, measure the impact of design changes, and propose new ideas to improve conversion across the customer journey
- Write UX copy: headlines, CTAs, and microcopy that support the story and drive action
- Build and maintain brand design systems in Figma (typography, color, components, and patterns)
- Prepare developer-ready files with responsive specs, component states, assets, and clear handoff notes
- Work closely with the Head of Web and the development team to ensure designs are feasible and built as intended
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working as a designer on websites (development, QA, or other roles don't count toward this)
- At least 2–3 live ecommerce stores on real domains that you designed. Screenshots, case studies, Figma files, or projects that are no longer online will not be considered
- Senior-level visual craft: custom art direction, refined typography, and original layouts (not lightly customized templates)
- A clear, hands-on UX research process, including user personas and journey mapping
- Proven CRO experience, with real examples of design changes you measured (analytics, A/B testing, or before/after results)
- Solid understanding of ecommerce UX: product discovery, product pages, cart, checkout, and purchase decision drivers
- Advanced Figma: components, variants, variables, auto layout, and interactive prototypes
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
- Understanding of responsive design and how designs translate into code
- AI tools already integrated into your design workflow (research, ideation, copy, imagery, or prototyping)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Nice to have: basic HTML and CSS
- Nice to have: brand identity work (logos and visual identity systems)
- Nice to have: marketing, creative, or web design agency experience
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a web designer whose live work speaks for itself: real online stores, on real domains, with a visual level that stands out from template-based sites. They own the process end to end, from researching the client's business to handing off files a developer can build without guesswork, and they can explain how their design decisions moved conversion, backed by data. They combine UX rigor with strong visual craft, and they aren't only a graphic designer or only a developer. They communicate clearly in English, collaborate well with developers, and are comfortable starting part-time with a path to full-time.
