Location Argentina – Buenos Aires Purpose and Objectives The Local Chief Accountant is responsible for the management of the accounting and financial reporting of legal entities under his/her responsibility. This includes orchestrating the different parties involved in the accounting processes, ensuring the correctness of the financial statements, controlling the integrity of the accounting records, and managing the monthly IFRS Group reporting as well as statutory financial statements and other local financial reporting requirements. The role also covers local internal controls over financial reporting (including SOX 404) and the management of the external audit. This position will support legal entities in the Americas Region. Expectations and Tasks Responsible for delivering timely and accurate IFRS Group financial statements. Ensure internal and external audit requirements, including SOX 404, are met. Prepare, audit and file statutory accounts and other required financial reports on time and in accordance with applicable requirements. Monitor correctness and compliance of accounting‑relevant data for all finance processes. Build good business relations with key stakeholders and ensure a high level of satisfaction with financial reports. Manage relationships with GFS, other internal service providers, global functions, and external service providers; serve as the accounting single point of contact for legal entities and monitor service quality. Incorporate all corporate changes into local accounting. Engage actively in the GFA transformation and continuous process improvement. Support mergers, acquisitions and divestiture accounting processes as required. Skills and Competencies Thorough understanding of IFRS accounting rules. Fluent in English. Ability to work across international teams. Good organization and communication skills, able to work independently to drive project completion. Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic environment. Education / Work Experience University degree in accounting. Certified Public Accountant. 5+ years of collective practical accounting experience at SAP or another multi‑national public company and a public accounting firm.
