You are a strategic, forward-thinking Big Data Solutions Architect who is passionate about crafting scalable and efficient data architectures that manage large volumes of data. You thrive on guiding the implementation of robust, cloud-based data platforms and ensuring they align perfectly with the company's strategic goals. You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is desirable 4+ years of experience designing and deploying big data solutions in a cloud environment, specifically utilizing GCP and Dataflow. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, especially related to big data services such as GCP BigQuery. Expertise in cloud-based big data services. Proven track record in optimizing big data solutions for performance and cost. Hands‑on experience with distributed data systems and knowledge of distributed computing principles. Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools and data governance and quality principles. Experience creating and designing reports in PowerBI. Advanced English is a must You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: Lead the design and deployment of cloud-based big data solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure data architectures align with business needs and can handle future scalability. Provide guidance on the selection and usage of big data tools and platforms. Drive continuous improvements in data storage, processing, and optimization techniques. Collaborate with data integration teams to guarantee seamless data flow. Contribute to the company's overall data strategy and roadmap. Mentor and train junior engineers and data professionals. Advocate for data best practices, promoting data governance and quality. Evaluate and introduce new big data technologies and frameworks. Work closely with IT Security to ensure all data solutions are compliant with security protocols. Collaborate with SRE (Site Reliability Engineers) to ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of the big data platform.
