An EnergyWise Coach at Homewise plays a crucial role in helping New Mexico homeowners lower their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprints by improving home energy efficiency. The EnergyWise Coach identifies opportunities for upgrades such as insulation, air sealing, solar, and appliance improvements through consultations and energy assessments. They utilize diagnostic tools to assess home performance, creating detailed Energywise Home Roadmaps to guide homeowners. They also provide ongoing education, help clients navigate the upgrade process, and ensure they find the best tools and lending options to help with their energy efficiency journey. By working closely with clients, lending staff, and contractors, the EnergyWise Coach ensures energy‑efficient solutions are effectively implemented, ultimately helping homeowners save money and reduce their environmental impact. Utilize diagnostic tools like blower tests and combustion safety tests to evaluate air home performance and provide detailed and specific information to the homeowner about what upgrades would produce and what changes. Generate a client‑facing report called the Energywise Home Roadmap, which will help clients make decisions about home improvements that will save them money and reduce their homes’ carbon footprint. Client Consultation and Support: Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners as they decide which improvements to pursue from their Energywise Home Roadmap. Provide ongoing education directly to clients about the benefits and prioritization of various interventions that address health, safety, durability, and energy efficiency.
