As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for the strategic objective of increasing revenue generation by selling into the whitespace within your assigned territory through Carrier prospects and existing accounts to enable them to become more successful, profitable, and secure online. Responsibilities: Developing a strategic sales plan, account plans to maximize the territory opportunities through existing customer revenue growth. Acting as the primary, trusted point of contact to key customer stakeholders, building relationships and customer success. Partnering with sales engineers, internal support resources, and channel partners to ensure consultative engagement with prospects. Utilizing marketing resources to create/manage a high volume sales pipeline. Communicating effectively with all levels of prospective buyers and internally at Akamai. To be successful in this role, you will: Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Demonstrate relevant experience or related familiarity with the role. Have relevant sales experience working with Carriers, increasing new and existing business. Have experience selling security, software, and/or cloud computing solutions. Have a proven track record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota and successfully executing complex sales cycles. Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers.
