Wripple's financial services client is looking for a Conceptual Art Director – Marketing Campaigns in Buenos Aires, Argentina to join their team for a 40-hour/week, 12-month contract with the potential to convert to full-time for the right fit.

This is an opportunity to own the creative idea from brief through execution for a leading global financial brand.

We’re looking for a conceptual thinker and campaign builder — not just a strong designer. The ideal candidate knows how to take a business or marketing challenge, uncover the creative opportunity within it, and develop an original campaign idea that can come to life across channels.

Working closely with a Creative Director, copywriters, designers, and marketing partners, the Conceptual Art Director will develop strategic, audience-relevant creative ideas and translate them into compelling visual concepts and campaign systems across digital, social, web, video, print, and other brand experiences.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own and contribute to the creative process from initial brief through final execution:

  • Start with the brief. Understand the business and marketing challenge, audience insight, objectives, and strategic opportunity behind each assignment.
  • Develop the big idea. Partner closely with copywriters and other creatives to generate original campaign concepts that solve the brief — not simply execute against an existing visual direction.
  • Create the visual concept. Once the campaign idea is established, define how it comes to life visually through art direction, imagery, typography, composition, motion, and other elements of the brand experience.
  • Build the campaign system. Develop a cohesive visual language that can flex across channels and formats while maintaining the integrity and impact of the core idea.
  • Bring the idea to life. Direct and execute creative across touchpoints including digital, social, web, video, print, presentations, and other marketing experiences.
  • Present creative concepts and articulate the strategic thinking behind them to Creative Directors, marketing partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and cross-functional partners to ensure copy and visual storytelling work together as one cohesive idea.
  • Rapidly synthesize feedback, evolve concepts, and maintain the strength of the creative idea through rounds of iteration.
  • Push the boundaries of the brand thoughtfully while ensuring creative solutions remain relevant to the audience and aligned with business objectives.
  • Understand the company, its audiences, and global financial markets in order to turn complex marketing challenges into clear, compelling creative.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of craft and attention to detail.
  • Leverage AI and emerging creative tools throughout the creative process to accelerate exploration, expand possibilities, and improve efficiency.

What We're Looking For

First and foremost, your portfolio should demonstrate conceptual campaign thinking. We want to see how you have taken briefs or marketing challenges and turned them into creative ideas — and how those ideas became integrated campaigns.

The strongest candidates will demonstrate:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in an Art Director role at a creative agency, in-house creative team, or similar environment.
  • A portfolio featuring concept-led, integrated marketing campaigns , not primarily standalone design or production work.
  • Experience developing creative concepts from a business/marketing brief and audience insight , ideally in partnership with copywriters.
  • The ability to explain the idea behind the work — the challenge, insight, concept, visual direction, and how the idea extended across channels.
  • Strong visual conceptualization skills and the ability to establish a distinctive, cohesive art direction for a campaign.
  • Experience building campaign systems that translate effectively across digital, social, web, video, print, experiential, and other channels .
  • A passion for storytelling and an understanding of how imagery, typography, motion, copy, and design work together to communicate a powerful idea.
  • Exceptional typography, visual hierarchy, composition, and overall design craft.
  • Experience presenting and selling creative ideas to internal teams, clients, and senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Experience using AI tools as part of creative ideation, concept development, or execution.
  • The ability to work independently while thriving in a highly collaborative creative envir
