Position: E-Commerce and Shopify Specialist (100% remote) Our client has an online bookstore specializing in Spanish children’s books for parents and educators in the Spanish K-12 market. We are looking for an E-Commerce Manager - Shopify Expert to establish, operate and grow an online e-commerce business throughout the United States. The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for the development, release, and maintenance of the e‑commerce platforms utilizing Shopify and MS Business Central using MEM. The manager will drive the profitable growth of the online business while ensuring a best‑in‑class shopping experience for all online customers. The E-Commerce Manager also serves as an important change agent through the development and communication of the long‑term vision and strategy for e‑commerce, driving growth trajectory as well as employing digital marketing strategies to increase e‑commerce sales. The manager will understand the uses and benefits of the current product portfolio so that they may be thoughtfully integrated into the online launch process as they are unveiled into the marketplace. The E-Commerce Manager is also responsible for leading the digital marketing effort to ensure successful integration and program development is coordinated into the site for deeper consumer engagement. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Create and refine new online marketing for Shopify for our Spanish children’s books. Create and manage best‑in‑class branded online retail consumer experiences. Lead the day‑to‑day online operations related to e‑commerce with oversight responsibility for operating metrics and key performance drivers such as: traffic, average order value (AOV), conversion, opt‑ins, new buyers, repeat buyers, sales, and units per order. Build and manage the online assortment, promotions, price management and overall product presentation in conjunction with internal or external product management team to maintain channel strategies. Ensure products are communicated effectively online to maximize item sales and increase profitability. Manage the digital effort with a strong sense for considering customer needs, incorporating corporate goals, and creating an experience that inspires usage and motivates completion of the online purchasing process. Run campaigns with Google (both text and display), Facebook/Instagram and other forms of digital media. Partner with marketing category content creators to enhance product stories and increase relevancy regarding product efficacy and the consumer target. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Desire to manage and grow at an e‑commerce business. Possess analytical skills and in‑depth database segmentation experience. Ability to translate offline brand vision to the online channel. Strong skills in merchandising, marketing, and vendor selection and management. Strong understanding and experience with Google Analytics. Ability to identify, communicate and inspire an organization around the next generation of e‑commerce experience to dramatically grow the business, and be able to work through tough issues and overcome challenges while maintaining good relationships. Ability to establish rapport, gain trust and build relationships. Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, allocate time, and adapt quickly.
