Linguist Vendor Manager The Linguist Vendor Manager is responsible for overseeing the selection, engagement, and management of linguists, translators, interpreters, and language service providers for language-related projects. This role focuses on building and maintaining a strong network of qualified language professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality linguistic services, and optimizing vendor relationships to support the organization's localization and language-related initiatives. Selection and Engagement : Identify and engage qualified language professionals and service providers. Performance Management : Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to meet quality and delivery standards. Relationship Management : Cultivate and sustain long-term partnerships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Quality Assurance and Compliance : Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality guidelines. Database Management : Maintain accurate records of vendors, contracts, and performance metrics. Performance Analysis and Reporting : Generate reports to inform decision-making and improve vendor effectiveness. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in vendor management, linguistics, translation, localization, or related fields. Strong knowledge of linguistic principles, translation techniques, and industry standards. Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and translation memory systems. Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
