Base pay range $72,000.00/yr - $102,000.00/yr About The Role We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Backend Focus) to join a talented international team and contribute to the development of a scalable platform that connects families with educational providers. This is a direct hire opportunity with the client's payroll, offering long-term stability and professional growth. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions with Ruby on Rails. Solve complex technical challenges related to performance, concurrency, and distributed architecture. Lead technical initiatives and mentor other team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Frontend, DevOps) in an Agile environment. Participate in architectural decisions and support the migration of infrastructure to AWS. Contribute to improving scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform. Requirements Proven experience with Ruby on Rails in main projects in recent years (not only side projects). Strong track record building and scaling large, complex products (high concurrency, millions of users, critical integrations). Expertise in performance optimization, architecture design, and scalability. Experience leading projects or technical teams in e-commerce, marketplaces, or large-scale digital platforms. General frontend knowledge (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Advanced English (C1 or higher, mandatory): you will work closely with international stakeholders. Current residence in Argentina (mandatory).
