Your expertise in various network technologies and standards will be counted on to troubleshoot, identify, and solve complex and mission critical problems internally and externally. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, scripting languages (. Python) required for the development of automations that will contribute to the improvement of our network support structure. Plan, track and manage the proper use of technology infrastructure to optimize delivery and cost. Assists management in performing performance appraisals. Ability to create original documentation as well as update existing  Acts independently and leverages critical thinking  Point of escalation for 40x, 50x and 60x level team members. Advocates for customer base when faced with Infrastructure or Business Critical issues. Ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms. This position will involve day to day incident and problem management of major impacting data issues globally, proactive infrastructure management. The candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert in any 2-3 Technologies attending bridge calls, address tickets, and work hand in hand with the GNS Tier 4/PE organizations on items such as bug fixes, design changes, and code upgrades. Skills    BE/BS degree or equivalent with 10+ Years of relevant experiences. Experience in Network Operation production and infrastructure support. Understand Network infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems. Proficiency in more than one specific infrastructure technology. Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met. Executes within a customer-centric environment. Experience working in a banking, exchange or technology type environment within a global organization. Proven experience managing various large-scale enterprise network topologies including Routing & Switching (LAN, WAN - Cisco – ASR/GSR/Nexus), Datacenter Technologies (Nexus, ASR, VXLAN, Cisco ACI, Arista Fabric), Wireless (Cisco Prime), Network Security & Services (Firewall Fortinet/Check Point), F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM), Proxy (Blue Coat), Optical Transport (Cisco/Ciena), Etc. Certifications in these areas preferred. Expert in Multicast, low latency networks, and market data related technologies. Strong experience in Protocol Analyzers (Cpacket, BigSwtich, Wireshark, Riverbed). Strong experience in capacity/monitoring management tools (Splunk, SevOne, ThousandEyes). Ability to use (or learn) scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, etc. Understanding of version and revision control practices and procedures. Experience working in a Linux environment Strong communication skills - written and verbal. Strong work ethic in a mission-critical 24x7 diverse environment with multiple vendor/customer relationships. Must be flexible, hands on and able to work in a fast paced, high pressure, client-focused and collaborative environment. Business Knowledge   In depth knowledge of the Network Infrastructure supported. Understands firm systems used to track and manage infrastructure. Develops the mindset for risk and control compliance to departmental and companywide standards. Executes within a client centric environment for teams and contributors.
