NodeJS Engineer Avenga is looking for a skilled NodeJS Engineer to join our team and contribute to an exciting project in the banking domain. As a NodeJS Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering cutting‑edge, high‑quality solutions that address complex business challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including frontend developers, QA engineers, product owners, and architects, to design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems. Qualifications 5+ years of experience with Node.js Proficiency with NestJS framework Understanding of microservices and/or event‑driven architectures Experience in deploying and managing applications on a cloud platform Familiarity with Serverless Framework or any Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool Knowledge of ExpressJS Understanding of branching models, hotfixes, and feature branches Strong expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs Experience working with NoSQL databases Knowledge and setup of monitoring and alerting tools (DataDog and Opsgenie) Nice to have skills Experience with AWS, including serverless services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, EventBridge, and DynamoDB Knowledge of TypeScript Responsibilities Model and refine specifications to define a detailed design for implementing the required functionality Build or adapt classes, modules, or other software components; reuse existing components and integrate them with custom code Verify produced programs through unit testing Review code to fix defects or improve quality Document programs according to standards—both functional and architectural documentation, as well as in‑code comments Deliver across the entire application lifecycle: concept, design, development, implementation, testing, and support Maintain production applications, fix bugs, and implement new features Gather functional requirements and translate them into elegant functional solutions Build prototypes during the technical scoping phase of projects Optimize application performance Participate in defining and reviewing standards and norms applicable to design and construction About Avenga At Avenga, we believe that human creativity empowers technology that matters.
