ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a Technical SEO Specialist, you will have the opportunity to take full ownership of technical audits, analysis, and optimization for client websites. You will lead complex technical projects and have the autonomy to identify and execute impactful SEO improvements. This is a role for an experienced specialist seeking to drive technical strategy and mentor junior team members. You have an ability for finding needles in haystacks - you enjoy digging through site code, analytics, and crawl data to uncover small but important optimization opportunities. You can back up your recommendations with clear data-driven insights. You also have strong presentation skills to convey technical analysis directly to clients. To qualify candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Argentina or Uruguay. This is a contractor role with full time hours ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to Manager or Senior Manager, SEO, the Senior Technical SEO Specialist will be responsible for determining and executing a best-in-class SEO strategy to drive key business outcomes for NP Digital clients, while honing in their technical SEO and client facing skills and abilities. Perform ongoing technical SEO audits and analysis using tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights. Identify opportunities and execute optimizations Monitor website crawlability, indexation issues, structured data, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and other technical SEO factors. Document issues, provide analysis, and make optimization recommendations Collaborate on technical SEO initiatives including site migrations, integrations, and new site launches. Develop and execute technical SEO strategies across development, QA, and launch Advise on technical SEO best practices for CMS platforms like WordPress and JavaScript frameworks like React. Provide guidance on site architecture, URL structure, page speed, etc Create technical SEO documentation, reports, and presentations to convey analysis and recommendations to stakeholders and clients Collaborate with IT/development teams to implement technical SEO solutions Share technical SEO knowledge and mentor junior team members ABOUT YOU 2 years or more of work experience in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery 2-3 years of hands-on technical SEO experience Must have some experience using generative AI platforms Strong knowledge of web development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Vue Proficiency with technical SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Lighthouse Understanding of technical SEO concepts like site architecture, structured data, Core Web Vitals Ability to interpret log file analysis and identify crawl errors Working knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress, Magento, Drupal Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience managing technical SEO projects end-to-end Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics, GSC, SEM Rush, BrightEdge Agency experience a plus BONUS POINTS Agency experience Google Analytics Crazy Egg, HotJar, Clarity Technical Expertise/Web Dev Experience Experience with CSS Experience with version control systems like GitHub Experience with hosting maintenance and configuration Basic understanding of relational databases like MySQL Basic understanding of modern object-oriented PHP development Intermediate understanding of Javascript Experience developing HTML ABOUT YOUR GROWTH As an organization we support your growth and development by investing in your learning to advance your career.
