We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Software Engineer (AWS + AI) to spearhead the development of next‑generation AI solutions and proof‑of‑concept applications. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI applications leveraging AWS services and modern AI tools to address real‑world business challenges. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and business stakeholders to craft technical solutions that not only solve current pain points but also push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI and cloud technologies. Responsibilities Drive the end‑to‑end development of AI proof‑of‑concept solutions, collaborating with team members to create functional prototypes using AWS cloud services and AI tools. Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and workflow challenges, ensuring solutions are aligned with business needs. Design scalable, robust technical solutions utilizing AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda) and modern AI tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements. Convert business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable plans for POC implementation, ensuring feasibility and alignment with business goals. Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex technical concepts into clear business terms to facilitate decision‑making. Serve as a subject‑matter expert in AI and AWS, identifying opportunities for process optimization and recommending innovative technologies to keep Allata at the forefront of the industry. Hard Skills – Must Have Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks; hands‑on experience building and deploying models. Deep understanding of AWS cloud platform, especially services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and others relevant to AI/ML. Experience in data processing, integration, and management using tools such as AWS Glue, Redshift, or similar. Experience designing scalable, secure, and efficient architectures, including knowledge of microservices, serverless computing, and cloud‑native patterns. Soft Skills / Business Specific Skills Clear, concise, and effective communicator, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and presenting technical information to non‑technical audiences. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovate in high‑pressure environments. Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams, fostering an open and inclusive environment. Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with the ability to pivot and adjust approaches as business needs change.
