Nimble Giant Entertainment is looking for a Senior Cinematic Designer to join our Animation team and help bring our AAA project to life. You’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality in-game and pre-rendered cinematics that deliver emotional impact, seamless storytelling, and visual excellence. If you have a passion for creating cinematic experiences, a deep understanding of storytelling through camera, composition, and animation - and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment - we’d love to meet you Responsibilities Design, plan, and implement compelling in-game cinematics and scripted sequences that enhance the narrative and gameplay experience. Collaborate closely with the Animation, Art, Design, and Narrative teams to define the cinematic vision and storytelling tone. Work with motion capture (mocap) data, cleaning, refining, and blending it with keyframe animation when needed. Define camera composition, pacing, lighting, and character staging to achieve cinematic excellence. Integrate and iterate cinematics within Unreal Engine (or similar) to ensure technical and artistic quality. Provide feedback and mentorship to junior cinematic designers and animators. Ensure consistency of visual storytelling with the project’s tone, world, and gameplay. Requirements 5+ years of experience in cinematic design or animation for games, film, or TV. Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine Sequencer (or equivalent cinematic tools). Experience working with motion capture data: cleaning, retargeting, and integrating into complex character rigs. Solid understanding of animation principles , camera work, and cinematic language. Ability to direct and edit scenes with attention to pacing, emotion, and player experience. Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills. A strong portfolio or reel showcasing cinematic sequences and storytelling through animation and camera work. Nice to Have li>Experience in AAA game development or high-profile cinematic projects. Knowledge of scripting tools or automation to optimize cinematic workflows.
