ARRT Radiology / Limited License X‑Ray Technologist at Baptist Health Urgent Care - PRN Oversees X‑ray exams, patient positioning, equipment operation, and medical assistant duties for urgent care setting in Jacksonville, AR. Job Summary Perform X‑ray testing including patient mechanics and body movement, use diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare scenes. Responsibilities include medical assistant support while ensuring safety and quality control. Key Responsibilities Promptly greet patients at the waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or X‑ray room. Consistently communicate wait times and directions to the next step. Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent or hazardous situations. Execute follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency. Assist front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary. Obtain and accurately document vital signs, brief history, medications, allergies, and other pertinent information. Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by the provider. Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits. Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by physicians. Carry out quality control procedures to ensure quality exams. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures following safety and regulatory protocols, including radiation protection. Ensure equipment is functioning and report malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty. Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility equipment and licensure. Schedule Full‑time team members work a rotating 36‑40 hour per week schedule: 12‑hour weekday shifts and alternate weekends. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as‑needed basis. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. BLS certification. AR State X‑ray license. ARRT certification preferred. Experience as a medical assistant preferred.
